Decades after the apocalypse, the last pockets of humanity are struggling to survive in the wasteland that remains, but humanity wasn't the only species to survive. Walking Metal - the thinking machines that waged war until the world was in ruin - wander the wastes, still programmed to seek and destroy.

But a stranger claims to be able to talk to the Metal, perhaps even control it, and just in time to protect the town and its citizens.
